Indianapolis International Airport

Central Energy Plant Management
In 2006, BHMM Energy Services contracted with the Indianapolis International Airport Authority to manage, operate, and maintain the Central Energy Plant at the Indianapolis International Airport. The Central Energy Plant provides steam, chilled water, compressed air, backup electric generation and fire protection services to the Indianapolis Maintenance Center, which also provides contract maintenance services for several large national airlines. The Central plant also provides chilled water and hot water service for the new state of the art Midfield Terminal.

Utility Connector Construction Project
In 2006, the scope of work was expanded to include design and construction of a $30 million utility connector project to serve the new midfield terminal. The project included construction of high pressure hot water and chilled water pipelines from the existing energy plant (under an active airport runway) to the midfield terminal. The project was completed on schedule and under budget in September of 2007. BHMM Energy Services also received national recognition for this project.
